Champagne MAGENTA
Thierry Lombard's family business is Champagne. It was established in 1925 in the village of Magenta near Epernay, the heart of the Champagne region. He represents the third generation of his family in the Champagne business.

In 1984 they acquired the Charles de Cazanove Company based in Epernay and developed this into a major brand. Thierry also owns 25 acres of vineyards in the Montagne de Reims and a local Pressoir (crushing center), where they crush their own grapes as well as those of other producers.

In 2004 he received a very attractive offer to to sell the de Cazanove brand to a major company. He decided to accept this offer, in order to concentrate on, and expand his own vineyard holdings and to launch his own high quality brand Magenta, named in honor of the village where his family established their first Champagne cellar. An artisanal brand, it was developed for independent wine merchants and restaurants.

Theirry's traditional underground cellars in Epernay contain several million bottles, quietly aging. The Brut Superiure has a minimum of 4 years age. The Cuvee is 90% Pinot , with a high proportion of mature Meunier and 10% Chardonnay. This produces a wine of great elegance and depth of flavor.
